SMS / Text Messaging Compliance Summary

LoadBearing CRM is a software platform used by contractors to manage their businesses. Contractors who subscribe to the SMS add-on may send transactional text messages to their clients, including appointment reminders, job status updates, estimate notifications, and invoice alerts. Messages are sent only to clients who have provided their phone number to the contractor.

Message types: Transactional only (appointment reminders, job updates, estimate/invoice notifications). No marketing or promotional messages.
Opt-in: Clients provide their phone number directly to their contractor via an in-person intake form or the contractor's web-based intake form. By doing so they consent to receive SMS messages from that contractor via LoadBearing CRM. An opt-in checkbox is presented at the time of phone number collection.
Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time. No further messages will be sent.
Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or email admin@loadbearing.app.
Message frequency: Varies by contractor. Typically 1–10 messages per month per active job or appointment.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
Privacy: Phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, business name, and password (stored as a secure hash).

2.2 Client Data

Contractors enter client information including names, addresses, phone numbers, and job details. This data is stored on your behalf and is owned by you.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and performance purposes.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We work with trusted service providers including Stripe (payments), SendGrid/Google (email), Twilio (SMS), Replit (hosting), and EagleView (property data). These providers only receive data necessary to perform their functions.

5. SMS Communications

5.1 Message Types

SMS messages sent through LoadBearing CRM are informational and may include job status updates, appointment reminders, estimate notifications, and invoice alerts. These are transactional communications, not marketing.

5.2 Consent and Opt-In

Clients provide their phone number on the contractor's intake form and check a box consenting to SMS messages. Terms are on the intake form page: https://loadbearing.app/privacy#sms. Contractors are responsible for obtaining and documenting client consent.

5.3 How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for support.

5.4 Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies by contractor usage. Message and data rates may apply.

5.5 No Sharing for Marketing

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
